Opportunities for sharing your knowledge and expertise are abundant and diverse in the Rio Grande Valley.  Volunteering is not only a means to help others and contribute to the community, but a great way to make new friends, learn new skills, and stay active and healthy.  Many volunteer programs will provide training and most have a simple application and interview process.  Some will require some form of photo identification and may require a background check and/or references or brief resume.  The following list is by general categories and is by no means a complete list of every volunteer opportunity.  If you are interested in volunteering, just ask!  Chances are you will find a perfect match for your interests!
